Message From Chief Coordinator

Choice greetings in Jesus’ name!

I write with a great sense of anticipation that we will be gathering again for our 51st General Council Meeting from 30th May – 2nd June 2016. It’s always inspiring to know that we are part of a great family and are not alone in the work of God. One can do much but together we can do more!

This Council Meeting is also historic. In addition to spiritual inspiration and great fellowship, the Constitution Review Task Force will be tabling our new constitution for adoption. This has taken more than 3 years in the making. The Task Force has travelled throughout the country at least twice, listening to your views. We have also discussed at national events like General Councils and Minister Retreats. Though it’s not possible to accommodate every viewpoint, we are confident that this final draft represents the broad consensus of our fellowship. No man-made document is perfect but we believe this is a timely start that positions us for greater things. Any weakness discovered during implementation can always be rectified through amendments in the future. The immediate impact will be that of seeing the greater involvement of the language divisions and also the empowerment of a wider leadership base for our movement.

Besides business, let’s expect a fresh touch and direction from the Holy Spirit. In line with our theme “Together we…”, let’s come prepared to receive as well as give encouragement. God can work even at the corridors and meal tables.

Details are also available in our special blog site, 51stgeneralcouncilag.blogspot.com where we will add the latest announcements from time to time.

In view of the new election process spelled out in the new constitution, it is highly important you register early with all requested details so we can plan for a smooth process. Please act immediately to take full advantage of the early bird rate which ends on 25th April 2016 at 5pm. After 16th May 2016, you will have to pay the highest fee of RM110 eventhough meals and handouts are no longer guaranteed.

Until we see you then, may God’s richest blessings be on you and yours.

Yours faithfully,

Rev. Ronnie Chin

Assistant General Superintendent
